Anyone ever messed with it? Hipnosis, manipulation, etc? I know this is a sick topic, but it's always intrigued me!

I've never been hypnotized, but I've been manipulated many times. LOL.Actually, I don't think I want someone to have that much control over my subconscious mind. Who knows what they will find out about me.

It may seem disturbing to some, but to me, it sometiems seems like it could be, an escape.
Like, you know from all the bad shit around you, away out.

Take care,

I just got to thinking of something. There is a certain organization, and I'm not gonna say which one, but this organization tends to do this to blind and visually-impaired people. I'm not a member, nor do I ever intend to be, but I have heard and read accounts of how people have been manipulated by this organization. One person was manipulated so much he killed himself. This is indeed a very intriguing topic. I'm taking Personal Psychology from The Hadley School for the Blind, and I think this topic is covered in a future lesson.

I've heard of that organization somewhere, it seems!

Is it one of those that has a 3 letter acronim? It is theorized by some psychologists that a person can only be hypnotized if they want to be. As far as getting someone to act or believe in a certain way, that's not hypnosis, but persuation and/or monimpulation. These sorts of things happen all the time of course, and many advertizers follow certain psychological schemes to get people to buy their products. The car sales people are notorious for that sort of thing.

I've heard of instances where it's been used for the comedy value, an example of that would be mr. Anthony Cools, I've heard he's made people do some rather hilarious crap on stage!

What has he made people do? I've never heard of this guy.

Oh, there are lots of hypnotists out there who do it purely for entertainment. There's a guy who comes to the county fair here named Michael Mesmer and he once made one woman believe she was Hillary Clinton and another believe she was Monica Lewinsky and they went at it like on Jerry Springer! I've never been hypnotized myself though. Kate

Ever since I came across an LJ community on the subject of astral-travel/projection, it's intreigued me! I've read up on it and feel I may get into trying it one of these days. of course there's a bit involved and some are very skeptical of it, and I know I still got to be careful. afterall, it is the unknown, and that is what can fear us. anyone else here been successful with this?
